For years it's been common knowledge that Mason abused the power of his office to railroad people in to the prison system. Finally some light is being shed on this, but don't ever think Mason is a rogue here. This is all part of the evils of the Prison Complex that is used as a form of control and slave labor. The stats show that the majority of people being locked up are non-violent drug offenders, so people with the sickness of addiction are being locked up. Question who goes to prison to get medical and psychological help? No one! These people are not being helped and healed by the prison system, but their lives are being forever tainted and destroyed by it. And let's not forget the children of parents who are locked away, what of the horrid psychological toll taken on them. I know some will say "don't do the crime if you can't do the time". That just shows a blinding disconnect from the reality of crime and the conditions that lead people to it. Crime is bred of poverty, the poverty of economic discrepancy and the poverty of the spirit. Fix them and see where the crime rate is then.

But of course there are reasons that won't happen under this system.

RTA riders will get healthy dose of surveillance

I love that this is what the city and the RTA do with the money.  Rather than lower fairs and make public transit more available to ordinary people you install more cameras.  Security my ass, it's all about control!  Follow the link below to read the full story.

A Chara,

As I'm sure you are aware there are a number of Republican Socialist prisoners incarcerated in prisons throughout Ireland at this point in time. Some are serving lengthly sentences and are incarcarated many miles from their homes so they would be glad of your support especially around the festive season.

As the festive season is approaching I was wondering if you or any of your family, friends or comrades would be interested in sponsoring one of our prisoners or even sending them a Christmas card at this time.

In relation to sponsoring a prisoner you can send your correspondence directly to me at the address below. If you would prefer to send cards etc to me I will see that they get it or you can send cards directly to the prisoners themselves.

Anything that you choose to do would be greatly appreciated by the prisoners themselves as it would let them know that there are people still thinking about them


Fundraising efforts have also begun in many areas and we ask you to continue to support these.

I first read this story a day or so after listening to an old episode of Citizen Radio where Jaime and Allison visited a prison set up to incarcerate immigrants coming into Australia.  I recommend checking out the show to get an understanding of this story on a more personal level.  It mirrors this story in horrifying detail.

Just think about it for a minute, I mean really let it sink in okay.  Private FOR-PROFIT companies setting up jails to hold indefinitely, people who have committed no crimes.  People trying to escape rampant drug violence, poverty beyond a level of our comprehension and despair (all exacerbated by US government policies).  Private companies writing and dictating laws to states all to gain profit in the most insidious way.  Imagine it, you bringing your terrified family north in the hopes of trying to scratch out a better life only to be jailed, not because you are a criminal, not by the state you entered but by a company so they can make a buck off of your captivity.

There are political prisoners in the United States and make no mistake these families that AZ wants to detain for private profits are POLITICAL PRISONERS!  More victims of the Class War.

Cops kill another Black youth

Early in the morning of Oct. 17, Pace University student Danroy (DJ) Henry Jr. and his friends Brandon Cox and Desmond Hinds were parked outside Finnegan’s Grill, a bar in Thornwood, N.Y., in Westchester County.

According to reports, they were waiting for a fourth friend who was inside the bar. A cop tapped on the car, which was idling in the fire lane. Henry, the driver, drove forward and another cop appeared from behind a police vehicle with gun drawn, not giving Henry time to react.

The cop began firing and somewhere in the process was hit by the vehicle, while at least one other cop joined in the shooting. In all, as many as eight shots were fired, three striking Henry while Cox, who was in the passenger seat, took one bullet. This is the account given by Cox and other witnesses at the scene, which contradicts the official police report.
